How often that you’ve forgotten where you’ve parked your car, especially when you parked the car at a very big parking space of a giant shopping mall? I’ve always been the one who forgets where I’ve parked my car.
Here comes a handy application for the iPhone, G-park, which has been launched on the same day where iPhone 3G hit the stores around the world. The G-park helps car drivers locate where they’ve parked their cars easily. It makes use of GPS system, which presents simple usage. When you park your car, you’ll only need to hit the “park me” button presented by the G-park app on your iPhone’s touchscreen. And it’ll then drop a GPS flag to mark your current location.
After you’ve finished your shopping, getting back to car park, but you fail to remember where you’ve parked the car, you can then simply hit the “where did I park?”. And the G-park app will launch the Google Maps to give you turn-by-turn directions back to your car.
The G-park is definitely handy for city dwellers who own an iPhone and who always forget where they’ve parked their cars. Or you’ll also find it useful, when you drop by unfamiliar towns. The G-park can be downloaded from the Apple App Store now, which works best with the iPhone 3G which has the aGPS support, showing you with the turn-by-turn directions to get you back to your car easily. But with the old iPhone, it’ll still work but only you’ll be shown with a map that tells you where your car is, instead of more details.
