Pioneer’s latest achievement for their Blu-ray disc is a disc with 400GB storage capacity and has 16 layers within.
It’s 25GB per layer, so you get 16 layers that make up a total of 400GB. The 16-layered disc might have problems to run on existing Blue-ray gears.
Although it claims to have the same lenses and specs required by the device that reads it, which it shall work like a dual-layer disc. Anyway, it’s still in the prototype stage, which is read-only. Some improvements needed!
