Air Piano lets you play notes in the air without touching the keys

Air Piano plays notes by moving your hands in the air
These days we’re in the trend of playing those musical instruments in the air, which is without having you to touch its strings or keys to churn out tunes. The smart guy Omer Yosha has created the Air Piano, a smart piano that you can play notes on it without touching its keys.

The Air Piano depends on infrared technology to detect movements of your hands and fingers, and plays the notes based on the movements of your hands. Couple of common movements such as leaving your hand hovering over a spot of this piano will sustain the note. Changing octaves will need you to raise or lower your hand over one of the sensors.

The Air Piano is equipped with tons of sensors, which each of them is associated with a set of MIDI commands that create the music. And the Air Piano is kind of flexible, which the sensors are customizable to produce different notes and sounds. The Air Piano is still in its prototype. Perhaps, the maker is looking for someone who’d like to invest in it for a mass production or what. Lets take a look at the video how the Air Piano in action below.
