The breaking news about the latest development of applications on iPhone is it’ll soon be turned into a controller for controlling unmanned military aircrafts.
That is the new territory for iPhone software apps to venture into, which they’ll release some software apps that control the military aircrafts. The multimedia applications seem to have limitations to let those geeky iPhone app developers to get their actual satisfaction. What they want is to look into something more exciting, lets saying making the iPhone capable of controlling airplane in the air.
According to the Apple Software Developer Kit agreement, the applications are not supposed to be designed for or marketed for automatic or autonomous control of aircrafts. However, some geeky developers at University of California, Berkeley, have taken a big leap, which in fact they’ve violated the Apple’s terms and conditions, and taken the applications to the next higher level i.e. for the use to control some unmanned aircrafts.
The Berkeley team makes this iPhone aircraft controlling app to use the Mobile Safari, to allow the users to enter the coordinates and select tasks for unmanned flights, which the control signals are delivered via a web server. Video is attached below to show how this cool app on iPhone is in action.
