A cube that looks so ordinary from outside. But once you press the black button, the top will open up to unveil you some high-tech stuff inside. It’s actually a label maker, which is a high-tech version from Japan.
Once the top opens up, you’ll see a US version QWERTY keyboard and an LCD screen, which you can start making your labels by inputing the required text, type it on the QWERTY and it shall then print out the labels for you. Unfortunately the LCD screen displays text in Japanese only. It’s a cool device that is pretty widely used in Japan for making labels to stick on your files, folders, hardcover books and even those gadgets scattered around on your desk, to make your life easier.
The device comes in two flavors of colors, which is either red or white. It’s powered by AA batteries and also has an option to source power from the AC adapter that comes with it. The device seems to come with little intelligence that will do auto-completion for you while you’re inputting some initial text, which the auto-completion will try to match and suggest the rest of the text, so you don’t have to type the overly lengthy text. Of course you can always refill it with the blank label stickers when it’s run out.
