Solar cells have been made into various form factors in order to be handy and provide best absorption of sun lights to power our gadgets. We’ve heard solar cells will be made so tiny which can be used as paint and sprayed on your entire house to absorb solar energy to power your house and various gadgets.

Mitsubishi Corp., Tokki Corp. and Japan’s National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST) have teamed up and developed the organic thin-film solar cells, which form the leaves of fake plants.

It’ll be great use in offices and living spaces, that have fake plants around for the sake of spicing up the environments. The solar cells on these fake plants make them unnoticeable that they’re actually those dull cells which collect energy for you. They’ve now become part of your home decors, being part of the fake plants that make your living or office space more lively. Besides, they also have potential to be used in building construction, such as embedded in those building materials, since they’re super thin. Of course, they’re super easy to be incorporated into various gadgets that will not add any bulk to gadgets.
