Let’s say you have tons of analog video and audio sources, such as those on the VHS tapes, and cassettes etc. And you wanna convert them into high-quality but highly-compressed digital format, such as one of the latest – the H.264 or MPEG-4 formats etc, which you can then easily upload to YouTube or play it on your Apple TV, PSP, iPod and iPhone etc. The FastVDO SmartCapture Lite is the best converter that can do all the conversions for you.
The FastVDO SmartCapture Lite comes in the form factor of a USB stick, and it’s included with a RCA cable that you can use to connect to any analog audio or video sources, for example VHS, cassette player, TV out, camcorder, Camera, etc.
You have the RCA cable hooked up to your VHS tape player and connected to the SmartCapture Lite. And the SmartCapture Lite is plugged into the USB port of your computer. With the included SmartPlay software, you can then convert the analog video or audio source into any of the latest
highly-compressed digital formats such as H.264(video), AAC (audio) and MP4. Which can then be played back on your iPod, Apple TV and upload them to online video websites.

The SmartCapture Lite can produce videos with resolutions from 60X120 up to 720X576. It’s just in the size of a USB stick, needs no external power source as it’s powered by your computer’s USB port. The gadget is also best used for converting analog video/audio sources on the fly. By combining it to work with FastVDO streaming server, analog video/audio source can then be converted on the fly and streamed over to other devices and computers via wireless or wired networks – a great use for distance learning that uses videos/audios to deliver the course content.

Not bad, but I think Sothink Video Converter is a better choice.
It supports almost all popular video formats, and can convert videos to iPod, PSP, Zune, 3G mobile videos directly. It’s easy to use, yet powerful!
