Philips has officially announced for the release of its touchscreen phone, Philips X800 e2e. The phone features a 2.9 inch touchscreen, which the UIs on the touchscreen pose very close similarity to the iPhone’s.
Too bad is the phone will make its official appearance in China only. Another fact that shows that the Chinese also get nice cell phones. This could be due to the China market is huge, having a rapid rise in number of mobile phone users.
The e2e in the code name of this cellphone has a special meaning. It means the touchscreen has the capability to stretch from “edge to edge”. The phone will also boast impressive battery life, which is one of the common features found in Philips Xenium brand.
The phone also comes with a 2.0 megapixel camera, and supports GPRS network only. And also WiFi capability is present on this phone, so you can hook up to any WiFi hotspot, which at least lets you gain little higher speed of surfing the net, even though it has no 3G/HSPA support.
