Just a few days after the Japanese Green House has pronounced their SSD as the fastest in the industry. A Korean manufacturer, Mtron, has just claimed that their SSDs are much faster and are actually the fastest in the industry that no one can beat at the moment.
The Mtron’s new PRO 7500 series of solid state drives, support SATA II interface, and provide a maximum of read speed of 130MB/sec and write speed of 120MB/s, and claiming themselves the fastest SSDs in the market. Obviously, their write speed of 120MB/s is much ahead of the Green House’s SSD can provide, which is only up 67MB/sec.
The new Mtron’s PRO 7500 SSDs are targeted for the enterprise market for servers and storages. And it’s got about 10-20% improved performance over the Mtron’s SATA I SSD.
It includes Random Read IOPS (Data input/output speed) of 19,000, a speed that is 65 times faster than current industrial purposed SAS HDD, which is best used for applications that have heavy volume of data transactions.
The Mtron’s SSDs are claimed to consume 60% less in electricity than hard disk drive, has maximum energy efficiency with no noise and less heat, and super friendly to the environment. The PRO 7500 SSDs will be made available with 32 GB ~ 128 GB capacities in 2.5 inch and 3.5 inch sizes.
