Getting your MacBook to stay at its top performance will need you to get it a workable cooler to keep it cool. And of course, this cooler must be one that doesn’t bring any significant increase of the original thickness of the MacBook. A world’s slimmest cooler is definitely a plus here in order to fit well and keep it cool.
Moshi has announced that it’ll release the world’s slimmest cooler specially designed for the MacBook. The cooler is with the code name Zefyr 13”, which is extremely compact and yet efficient in keeping the MacBook cool under demanding conditions.
The core of this cooler is made up of a high-thermal conduction interface compound, which is best used for heat dissipation, as it provides a direct heat conduction path between the MacBook’s bottom casing and the Zefyr cooler’s cast aluminum heat sink assembly. The thermal interface compound is soft and compressive, which ensures complete contact with the MacBook, as well as providing protection to it from scratches. There is also a USB-powered fan that helps suck out the hot air from the heat sink and let it expel through the side.
The Zefyr cooler is what you need to ensure all the critical components in your MacBook to always stay cool to reach its top performance. It also reduces excessive noise as it lessens the load of the MacBook’s internal fan. It’s been tested that MacBook with the Zefyr cooler on has shown to operate at 10 degree F lower than without, while running resource-hungry application such as HD video playback.
The Zefyr cooler needs no additional power adaptors. It just fits perfectly underneath the MacBook, which is just nice and provides a slight angled tilt for better ergonomics. The cooler also works with the new MacBook Air.
