It’s not the first time that we’ve heard of making use of gadget to let your plants talk. But it’s a very fresh idea that we’ve got here, which makes your plant talk and even tell the whole world over the Internet, and getting what the plants wanna say posted on the microblogging website, Twitter.
Adafruit has got an electronic kit called Botanicalls Twitter Kit, which is supposed to be attached to your plants, and convey all the plants’ thoughts and messages to you via the Internet.
Those messages will be posted on Twitter, so you’ll know when they need water or lack of soil and minerals. So, you can take your immediate action to care for them.
Once the messages or thoughts of your plants are posted on Twitter, and you’ll get notificed in text messages on your mobile phones by Twitter, to ensure that you’ll respond as soon as possible once your plants start feeling blue.
The Botanicalls Twitter kit is in the form of an exposed electronic circuit board. It comes with a moisture sensor which measures the dampness of the soil of the plant. The kit has an Ethernet port that lets you connect to your home or office LAN and get hooked up to the Internet. And connect the kit to your computer via the USB port, you can the program it to send custom messages to Twitter.
