Getting more choices to juice up our Apple gadgets is a good news to us. Kensington has just unveiled on Monday a couple of new battery pack/charger combos that are all worth of our immediate attentions.
Kensington seems to have lacked of some effort to find some fancy names for their newly announced charger products. They just simply call the two “Battery Pack and Charger” and “Mini Battery Pack and Charger”. Both the charges work with iPhone and any current iPod models, except the 3rd generation of iPod.
The larger measures at 4.0in L X 0.37in H X 2.2in W, which isn’t a lot smaller than the iPhone but it promises to give iPhone battery life boost of up to another 6 hours talk-time, 100 hours of music or 21 hours of video. It charges through a USB connection, but you can also connect to the iPhone or iPod through the dock port, which allows powering and charging simultaneously. It comes with a cool LED that shows the level of charging. All it costs only $69.99
The mini charger, works in similar fashion, but only smaller and connects directly to the dock on an iPhone or iPod without needing a cord. You can also leave the mini charger connected all the time, even while you’re using or talking on the device. But this makes your iPod or iPhone longer than usual but having another 2 3/8 inches. The overall dimensions of the mini charger are 2 3/8in x 2 1/2in x 3/8in. The mini charger costs only $49.99, but gives less hours of juice boost, which can reach about 3 hours of talk, 30 hours of music or 6 hours of video.
