You are right. For those who want to go back in history and see CUPhone's website, see the link below. I need to get a hold of this adapter for my skype unlimited calls linked up for my home phone. I want to make sure it includes the TigerJet chip. I don't all the other chips sets out there.

Nevermind all those facts....just did some more googling....www.tjnet.com was the "backend" company of CUPhone front.....same people....so essentially looks like CUPhone is now owned by MajicJack.....

Fact: I purchased CUPhone in 2005 for $400 - the enitre system - 2 USB adapters and 2 PPG Gateways. Their system worked great.

Fact: I dumped it for Vonage as Vonage served my purpose better in 2006.

Fact: TigerJet is the CHIPSET that was used by CUPhone. Same chipset is used in MajicJack and MajicJack just aquired that company.

Fact: SJPhone's softphone code is used by MajigJack along with other thousand-million VOIP softphones like Vonage, etc, OneSuite.com, etc. MajicJack also acquired SJPhone also.

Fact: CUPhone tried to keep tabs on too many things. Gateway, USB Adapter, Skype integration, blah..blah..blah. If CUPhone took their head out of their ass and hired good engineers, lawers and sales force just to make the USB adaptaer work and market like MajicJack, they would have been number one provider of this, not MajicJack.

Fiction: What if MajicJack now owns CUPhone also? Or CUPhone's previous employess are now at MajicJack? Or CPPhone owns MajicJack? Its very possible. Unless someone from CUPhone posts here otherwise.

What's the point if you need a regular wall phone jack? Surely VoIP uses the internet connection.
Any features are mentioned are already provided by Skype.
Am I missing something.

Let me put it to you this way. I sell Magic Jack internationally and they dont even speak English and they can get it to work. Point is other than registering with the pre-automated screen that pops up when you first plug magic jack into the usb port, everyting is automatic and you just make calls. The product installs the necessary software it needs to run. As far a Voip or CU-phone Im not so sure its this easy. I mean you have to plug the line into the wall and then use another phone to make calls. Magic Jack you dont have to use a phone jack. This comes in handy when on business travelling. As far as buying them of course you can just goto the website and email the company. Thats what I did and thats why Im selling them. Good Luck.
