NDrive has got two new sat nav devices G280 and G800, which are ready to be launched soon. The specialty of the two is they all feature photo mapping, which is a function that shows you a view of your route as an image of where you are.
Photo mapping is different from the 2D or 3D mapping that is commonly found in TomTom GPS devices. 2D or 3D mapping normally gives you some difficulties such as it’s hard to catch the exact turning you need while you’re driving. With the photo mapping, you can see on the screen those buildings that you’re driving past, which you have some objects to compare with and get to turn at the exact turning. The NDrive system also offers 5 perspectives, which four of them being diagonal and the 5th one offers a bird’s eye view. All these are to help you to grab a better sense of where you’re headed to when using the device.
The G280 has a relatively smaller screen which is 3.5 inch and it can be used as a media player too. The G800 comes with a 4-inch screen, equipped with Bluetooth and built-in FM transmitter, which allows you to connect to your iPod or cellphone. The two devices will be available by end of this month and can be obtained from SmartDevicesDirect.com. The G280 and G800 will be priced at £199 and £315 respectively.
