Slingshot is a special device that is brought to us by Dean Kamen, which is claimed to be able to regenerate drinking water from any source of moisture.
Yes, we’re talking about this device can convert any source of moisture, including sea water, even your urine and sewage into drinking water. I see a huge potential of this device to be employed by drinking water manufacturers which they can just use it to turn the waste water into drinking water. And they’ll sell them in bottles to the consumers. Be no surprise, that we’ll get those bottled drinking waters in the market soon, which are converted from sewage waters.
The Slingshot process operates by means of vapor compression distillation, requires no filters, and can operate using the most efficient fuel known to man: cow dung. Besides generating drinkable water, the Slingshot can generate electricity too. The device is claimed to be able to generate sufficient electricity to light 70 energy-efficient light bulbs.
Karmen sees a great potential of this device and he’s targeting for a price in the $1,000 to $2,000 range. This is simply a great idea, perhaps, local entrepreneurs could set up many of these next to the public toilets. So, it could then turn the sewage into drinkable water and pump it into a drinking-water vending machine which just sits at a couple of steps away from the toilet and start collecting coins.
