Just a good news for those who’ve been waiting for the Asus EEE 900, the 9-inch version. Asus has a confirmation for its release date for the US, it’s on May 12th. The EEE 900 will come with two versions which one is loaded with Windows XP and the other is loaded with Linux. And both asking for a price of $549.
The EEE PC 900 has been released in both Europe and Asia. Now it’s making its way to the US and it’s confirmed on the May 12th. At a price of $549, it’s slightly more expensive than a budget 15.4 inch laptop, but it’s still much cheaper than any average UMPCs out there, which mostly cost around $1,000 or more.
Asus seems to have got some sacrifices for its build quality and keyboard quality in order to get its price slashed. But those who’ve got it in hands in the Europe and Asia claim that it’s worth a look and should be equally popular to the smaller version - the Asus 7-inch EEE PC, which I also have got mine about two months ago.
