iPhone SDK beta 3 code segment clearly shows S-GOLD3
Facing tons of iPhone killers, Apple will need to get the second generation of iPhone ready with attractive specs in order to defend the killers. And of course, the second gen of iPhone has triggered many speculations over the Internet about what hardware specs that it’d carry.

Some rumors say that the second-gen iPhone would run on the Infineon’s S-GOLD3 chipset. And they seem to be pretty sure of this as they’ve traced it down to the iPhone’s SDK beta 3 program segment, which clearly shows the S-Gold 3.

If iPhone was really powered by the S-Gold3 chipset, meaning that the second-gen iPhone would feature 3G and a camera resolution of up to 5 megapixels, which are the two common features supported by the S-GOLD3.

I think it could be true that the second-gen iPhone would feature a 5 megapixel cam and support 3G. As many iPhone killers are now equipped with these two basic features. So, Apple wanna make iPhone equipped with these two features too in order to be able to survive with many killers around.
