High-tech tattoos by Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute - the Programmable tattoos
Scientists at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute have developed a new kind of high-tech tattoo that makes use of nanotube to be planted on your skin. And this high-tech tattoo is programmable and allowed to display different images or patterns on your skin.

The nano tube is some kind of sensory conductors which the size is as thin as human hair. It’s just like super tiny and flexible electronic display which will display various image patterns while power is supplied to it. The nano tube will display images, which appear like tattoos on your skin when the power is on and continues to display the images even though the power supplied to the nano tubes is turned off.

This new kind of tattoo can be used as a new way of communication, such as carrying different images or signs on your body would mean to your co-workers that you’re in the process of carrying a secret mission. Which would be great use among the secret agents. Another good use would be having the nano tube embedded underneath the skin of your palms, which is very useful for those who’re so used to jotting quick notes on the palm. With these new programmable tattoos on your palm you could just program it to carry the words that you wanna remember.

I’ve actually been trying to look into something like this for awhile. Always wanted a tattoo of a working clock. These programmable tattoos seem to be the first step to no longer losing or breaking watches
