It’s probably undeniable that this Toshiba’s IK-HD1 HD camera is the world’s smallest that we’ve ever seen so far. As it’s only slightly larger than a sugar cube. Toshiba will show off this super tiny spy cam at the NAB show later this month.
With such a super tiny size, the IK-HD1 camera will have many applications including Scientific imaging /diagnostics, Specialty broadcast, Homeland security and Industrial video / inspection. Despite the super tiny body of the IK-HD1, it’s capable of capturing with 1,920 x 1,080 resolution at a rate of 30fps, making it highly suitable for reality TV.
Toshiba claims that the IK-HD1 can deliver super clear true color pictures based on their unique prism block technology. The picture captured by this tiny guy would look so real that you’d think you were there. The IK-HD1 weighs a mere 65 grams and with the camera head measures only 1.6 inch, it can be installed anywhere you like. It’d be great use in manufacturing factories which can be installed in places such as control room, operating room and even installed on a helmet or on the production line. Of course, the tiny size also makes it a perfect gear for spying on others.
