AirPort Express, the Apple’s wireless N base station that was leaked in Switzerland, now has got its official. Apple calls this power-plug-like device the world’s smallest 802.11n-based mobile base station.
The AirPort Express’s small and ultra compact size allows you to carry it around anywhere you go and setup your ad hoc wireless network at any place and any time. You can share a printer wirelessly via the AirPort Express and stream iTunes music wirelessly from a Mac or PC using this device.
While you intend to share a USB printer for your MacBook Air that is placed at one corner, then plug the AirPort Expresss into the AC power socket and hook up the USB printer to the AirPort’s USB port using a USB cable. For streaming your iTunes music from your iPod, just hook up the stereo speakers or Hi Fi set to the AirPort’s minijack using an audio cable. And iTunes music can be streamed wirelessly to blast on the stereo speakers or Hi Fi set.
