InnoDisk’s 2.5-inch 128GB SATA 1000 SSDSSD (Solid State Drive) is the next generation permanent storage for our gadgets and computers to cling on, due to the super fast speed. Currently, SSD is still pretty far behind in storage capacity compared to the largest hard drive size that you can get in the market. A storage size of 128GB of the SSD is simply hard to find in the market. But now, InnoDisk has added more options for you by releasing their new 2.5 inch SATA 128GB SSD.

The InnoDisk’s FiD 2.5-inch SATA 10000 SSD supports SATA interface, which complies to Serial ATA 2.0-3Gbps standard. The drive is designed with a tough outer metal case, high capacity and reliability, low power consumption, noise free and anti-shock features which is best to replace hard disk drives.

The InnoDisk’s 2.5-inch SSD delivers high-performance read and write rates up to 110 Mbytes/sec and 90 Mbytes/sec respectively. The drive’s read rate is burstable up to 300 Mbytes/sec.

InnoDisk also equips this new FiD 2.5-inch SATA 10000 with their flash management technology, which offers a random read and write rate of over 9500 and 550 inputs/outs per second (IOPS) for a 512-byte transfer.

The FiD 2.5-inch SATA 10000 will be available in Q2 2008, having capacities ranging from 32GB to 128GB.

The pricing still remains unknown. If the price is reasonable for the 128GB model, it’s worth to replace your existing hard drive of your computer as it surely boosts with much better performance due its high speed of read and write.

    Point 1:-
For the sake of speed alone on a DESKTOP or WORKSTATION PC, SSD is the way to go. Most OS’s with lots of programs installed fit within 20gb so why cry about capacity issues if
up to 128gb is on offer. “How much crap can one run?”

    Point 2:-
Space, Heat & Power consumption are all factors to keep in
mind. You can always store your other less frequent data on
an external or one massive internal drive or raid system.
