The Sony Ericsson’s super smartphone – the XPERIA X1 is now available for pre-order on a few websites. The XPERIA X1 is a Windows Mobile-powered (Windows Mobile 6) smart phone, which features a 3-inch wide VGA (800 x 480) touchscreen, arc sliding QWERTY, which is probably the most anticipated WinMo device to date.
The XPERIA X1 is a multimedia and web centric super phone which features 3.2 megapixel camera for static and video. It supports video call and Internet-centric functionalities such as web browsing, RSS feed, blogging and email pushing.
It’s also equipped with various wireless data connectivities including Bluetooth, WiFi and 3G. And the phone’s multiple navigation capability lets you operate it in 4 ways, which are touchscreen, full QWERTY, 4-way key and optical joystick. The touchscreen also supports hand-writing recognition. The phone comes with an on-board 400MB microSD card. The supported phone networks including quad-band GSM/EDGE, and 900/1700/ 1900/2100MHz UMTS/HSDPA/HSUPA or 850/1700/1900/2100MHz for a USB US model.
A couple of online stores now having pre-order for the XPERIA X1 super phone. MobileCityOnline is asking for $999 only, which shows $200 less than the retail price $1,199. But to date, the XPERIA X1 has got its official retail price, so it’s all up to you whether you wanna grab it from this website, which could either be cheaper or even more expensive.
Another mobile online store, WirelessGalaxy says the regular price is $990 and now they offer a much lower of $680 only. SmartMobileGadgets is asking for $980 only for the XPERIA 1. Cellhut has an unlocked version of XPERIA X1, which asks for $700 only. And lastly Clove UK offers the super phone for £395. Since Sony has not yet announced the price, no one can say how much the X1 is going to cost. Since it’s the Sony’s top-of-the-line offer, I believe it could cost quite a lot. But grabbing it from any of the mentioned web stores is just like putting a bet on it.
