Gadget like USB flash drive is simply too plain to have, which it can only store your data. You’d have been asking why those manufacturers never added additional functions to a USB flash drive. Maybe it’s a good idea that an USB flash drive could also work as a mouse. Or maybe not. Lets look at the Asus’ MS71, how it presents itself both as a USB flash drive and also as a wireless mouse.
To use the Asus’ MS71 as a mouse, just detach its base and plug it into your computer’s USB port to act as the mouse transmitter and the other part is to act as the wireless laser mouse with a scroll wheel. The mouse has a magnetic locking mechanism which attaches the transmitter for charging. For the time being, this product is unknown with what capacity that it can hold fo your data. And the price is unknown too.
The overly rectangular body of this mouse will surely give some confusion to some users who’re used to the normal computer mouse. But it’d be handy for those who always travel around but don’t like the idea of bringing too many gadgets along. But I guess it should be a better choice than the touchpad of a laptop.
