The main problem faced by today’s mobile and portable gadgets is the overly small touchscreen, which somehow some humans’ fingers are too big, can hardly have a complete grab and operate them properly. One of the coolest gadgets shown off by Microsoft earlier this week at its Techfest was the LucidTouch.
The LucidTouch is a semi-transparent mobile device that is claimed to address the limitation of the current mobile devices, which user can control it not only from the front screen but also can operate it from the back. As user can see through the device, so you can touch the back to control the applications on it.
The key success factor of LucidTouch is its pseudo-transparency: by overlaying an image of the user’s hands onto the screen, Microsoft has created the illusion of the mobile device itself being semitransparent. This pseudo-transparency allows users to accurately acquire targets while not occluding the screen with their fingers and hand.
The LucidTouch also supports Multi-touch input as what the iPhone’s touchscreen offers, which allows the users to operate the device with all your fingers simultaneously.

The LucidTouch looks great, but what about its functionality. Is it just about map because that’s what I can see over there.

Not exactly about map only… since it’s transparent meaning you more surface areas to touch it to operate the apps on it
