Samsung has announced a new clamshell model of its cellphones to target those who still prefer clamshell over slider form factor. The new clamshell model is G400 Soul, which has a body with silver black combo, similar to the earlier soul – the U900 Soul. The G400 Soul is targeted for a launch at CeBIT this week.
Different from the U900 Soul, the G400 Soul has moved the interactive touchpad to its front cover and now has become a full interactive 2.22″ touchscreen display. Using the touchscreen the user can operate various functions including built-in FM Radio, music player, camera and photo album. The screen of the device will display your calendar appointments, wallpapers, digital or analog clock and caller/SMS notifications, while it’s in idle mode.
The Samsung G400 Soul also comes with all the graphical goodies and GUI skins that you can find on the U900 Soul, which allows easy customization of the background images, pictures, colors and fonts.
The G400 Soul clamshell is also equipped with high-speed data connectivity, 3.5G, HSDPA and high-end camera of 5 megapixels with auto face detection technology, image stabilizer and Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) capabilities.
