I was told that Asus Eee has run out of stock worldwide and Asus actually underestimated its popularity.
One of the reasons that it managed to attract many buyers is definitely its very low price, which costs in the range of $200 to $300. And also it’s in the UMPC range, which has a screen size of 7 inch only. Now, Acer wanna follow the food step and has offcially announced to roll out some UMPCs which sizes are 7-9 inches only and they’re targeting for a price about $470.
The Acer’s new UMPC is more expensive than the Asus Eee but is believed to come with better specs. Further detail of the specs still remains unknown. Do expect this low-cost unamed UMPC from Acer will hit the market in the second or third quarter of this year.
