Revolution door: A revolving door that generates power for the building where it’s installed!
It’s definitely a good idea for those busy buildings having revolving door installed, to make use of the revolving door to generate some energy to power the buildings. These busy buildings will have many thousands of people passing through a day and this can generate quite a significant amount of energy to power the building itself and others. Imagine, in a big city that has numerous buildings having revolving doors, which could be sufficient to generate energy to power the entire city.

A New York firm, Fluxxlab is working on their new product, Revolution Door, which is the kind of revolving door that has turbine powered by people that passing through it while entering or exiting the building. The idea is similar to how water powers a turbine as it rushes through a hydroelectric dam.

The Revolution Door has its central core redesigned, which can efficiently convert the motion of the spinning door into electricity. Theoretically, the door could provide a source of free energy for powering the building where it’s installed. Green energy, green idea!
