KEYnetik motion tech has introduced a new interface for cellphone and portable gadgets, which allows one hand operation on your cell or gadget. The KEYnetik’s new interface is meant for detecting your single hand movement on the gadget. It’s equipped with multiple accelerometers, which can detect both the direction of the movement and the direction of the origin of the force.
The KEYnetik motion-based interface automatically differentiates between the intentional and unintentional motions and responds to them precisely. These motion-based interface and controls will be located at the side of a gadget, which you can have only one hand to control it. And it can be either one of your hands, no matter you’re left or right-handed, you should be able to control it with one hand comfortably. The company has made a prototype and installed successfully on a Nokia N95.
The above video shows you exactly how the N95 can be operated single handedly. But, I think it still needs lots of practice from the user in order to master the control using one hand. As some operations might need combination of movements or shaking on the phone.
