Autonet Mobile Inc., a company that is showing off some nice gadgets for cars at CES 2008, which let you stay more connected to the Internet, even when you’re in the car. The company offers a small box for car trunks that takes a cellular broadband signal and uses Wi-Fi to relay it to portable computers in the car, so you can browse the Internet or play games while you’re inside the car. Besides, while the car is parked near your home WiFi network, you can also transfer music or video clips onto the player in the car, so you’ll have fully loaded with nice tunes and clips for your next journey.
The company claims their gadgets are to keep drivers better informed and passengers better entertained. Anyway, the idea of bringing Internet browsing, video streaming and gaming capabilities on vehicles is not anything new. But, the big question is how can drivers stay undistracted while they’re driving?
