Here is another weird gadget spotted at CES 2008. It’s an automatic urine collector, which is specially designed to help elderly patients in hospitals to be better attended and well taken care of their urination.
The device is to be hooked up to a pad of the patient’s bed to collect urine. And it analyzes the urine and plots an electronic chart that helps nurses to decide more precisely when to take the patient to the loo and how much water supposed to give to the patient.
The device definitely makes nurses’ jobs a lot easier. It was spotted by TechDigest at the CES Unveiled press event, on the stall of an organisation called PUCC (P2P Universal Computing Consortium).
