Asia contributes 80% of total sent and received SMS worldwide
Here comes the fact that tells you Asians are overly addicted to text messaging. Stat shows that Asian region contributes 78.9% of the total sent and received SMS worldwide. This figure should be quite accurate and believable as considering the huge population in China. And the huge rise in mobile phone usage in recent years in China region. The 78.9% is made up of about 1.5 trillion messages.
