Leaked specs and pics of NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GX2

What is shown to you here is NVIDIA’s yet-to-be released GeForce 9800 GX2 graphic card. HardOCP - those folks who’ve got the first-hand info about the card, say that the card sports a pair of G92-based GPUs with 128 SPs each on two separate PCBs. The card also appears to have 1GB of total memory on board.

The GeForce 9800 GX2 card is said to be at least 30% faster than the 8800 Ultra. And expected to be launched in either in late February or early March to replace the 8800 Ultra in NVIDIA’s high-end line up. HardOCP was told that the card will support “Quad SLI”. HardOCP says that you should imagine the GeForce 9800 GX2 as a 8800 that’s been shrunk down to 65nm and SLI’d onto a “single” card.

* 1GB frame buffer
* Two PCBs
* Two 65nm GPUs
* 256 Stream Processors
