According to ComputerWorld, hackers make use of the breaking news of the assassination of former Pakistani Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto, to lure users into downloading some malicious code.
The trick is using the search of the word “benazir” on Google, will lead users to some blogs hosted on Blogger.com with blog posts promising users that video of the assassination is available for download. By once, users have downloaded the video clip and try to play with Media Player, it will prompt the users to install a new high-definition video codec, the program that decodes the digital data stream, to view the clip. But actually, there is no such thing so called the video codec. Instead, it’s some kind of malicious code that leads users to download a variant of the Zlob Trojan horse, which is a back door that can infect the compromised PC with a wide range of other malware.
