
A competitor for the Amazon’s Kindle would be on the way soon and it’s much more intelligent, which is capable of reading out the highlighted text on an e-Book. Having the stylus that comes with it to tab on a word, it’ll pronounce the word loud for you and define it. Besides, this talking e-Book is also capable of explaining pictures, but it’s unclear if it’s equipped with image recognition software or not. The inventor of this talking e-Book is an Iranian, named Ramin Sedighi.
The talking e-Book features a USB port, audio out, the aforementioned stylus, 512MB of memory, and an SD card slot. The device is aimed at educational applications for children 4 through 16, and will be available in early next year. Currently, there are no words about the manufacturer and the pricing.
