Not sure if I’m the lucky or unlucky one, as I’m still running XP (and Linux) for most of my computers. I haven’t switched over to using Windows Vista yet. Recently, couple of blogs or news sources have been condemning Windows Vista. Here is a funny one, which shows you how Vista sucks with copying files – it’s extremely slow while copying files particularly from USB keys & drives.
A guy was trying to create a CD with only 168Mb of pictures, but Vista told him that it would take more than 131 years to complete the job! So, he canceled the job and used Nero 7 and Nero 7 did in in just couple of minutes.
The two screenshots attached here, one shows “48167 Days and 23 hours remaining” (As mentioned for burning a CD) and the other shows “36843 Days and 0 hours” remaining, which are the best-faith guesses of Vista for how long it’d take to copy data from one location to another. For now, I’d say I’m the lucky one for having yet to upgrade to Windows Vista for my computers.
