AC Outlet Internet connection kit turns any mains outlet into a network point!

AC Outlet Internet connection kit turns any mains outlet into a network point! For those who wanna be free from wired data network but feeling uneasy with data security issue of wireless or WiFi data connection, you can make use of the Panasonic AC Outlet Internet Connection Kit to let you freely move around in your house or office space.

The AC Outlet Internet connection kit makes use of the building’s electrical wiring to link your computer with the broadband modem for Internet connection. In short, it’s an adaptor that can turn any mains outlet into a network point. Have one adaptor connected to your Internet modem (using a LAN cable) and plugged into the mains outlet. And you can then move around with your laptop from room to room, as long as you have another adaptor plugged into the mains outlet of the room which you’re in.

Tip for the paranoids, this is a more secure way of having your data transmitted over electrical wiring instead of transmitting in the air. Furthermore, the adaptor also adds extra security to your data by having AES 128-bit encryption. And it delivers much faster in speed, with 170Mbps, than any wireless network.

This gadget was available on ExpertVerdict.com for £150 but it’s no more available now. Similar products can be found on Amazon.com for around $125 each (used).

This is one idea that should not be missed.. If only they sold it here in Malaysia for a reasonable price I would get it. Have been trying to use broadband modem for quite long now but it is not as stable as a LAN at all ..

This equipment is marvellous it wipes out short wave reception over a wide area and is in direct contravention of international law and human rights.
It is illegal but governments choose to ignore this and even British Telecom support it.
