SSD (Solid State Drive) will be the next generation of storage seen in computers, which will be slowly kicking hard disk drives out from the market. SSD drives have couple of goodies over the disk drives such as better data seek time due to no mechanical parts involved and subsequently also consume less power. Now, Toshiba has just introduced a new line of SSD drives and available in a few handy capacities including 32GB, 64GB and 128GB. Toshiba says the drives will be shipped in volume in March 2008 and expected to be displayed at the upcoming CES 2008. The specs at a glance of these SSD drives are as follows after the jump.
* 100MB/s peak read speed
* 40MB/s peak write speed
* Average time before failure: 1,000,000 hours
