Toyota has been pretty aggressive for making some cool robots to show us. Still remember they used the Robina robot to guide visitors at their exhibition? If you’d like to know the latest robot development within Toyota and how well their robots are engineered, here are three robots from Toyota to show you and even a video is included to show you the alien-looking robot is even capable of playing violin, which shows that their hands are now as agile and precise in movement as human’s.

The first robot from Toyota, Robina, was only one that is for handling logistic, which is capable of moving around and following people who might need his service. And grabbing objects with amazing precision and even signing autograph. This was the one used in the Toyota exhibition.
The second robot was an evolution of the trumpet and violin player, the digital Paganini. This robot shows how its robotic hands were precisely engineered, which it can move on its own and play the violin.

The third robot is called Mobiro, specially designed to help the elderly or anyone who are having difficulties to walk. It features a system of suspensions inspired by the automotive industry which guarantees optimum comfort. Mobiro will be used as soon as 2008 in the Disney theme park of Tokyo.

[...] Toyota is not the only car manufacturer that has stepped into the robotic era. Honda has also got their humanoid robot to show us, which is called Asimo. The Asimo is a robot that is as agile as human in movement. The robot is specially engineered with 34 Degrees of Freedom, which lets it walk freely and perform task much like a human. One degree of freedom is the measurement used to indicate that an object can move right and left or up and down. So, you can imagine, the 34 degrees clam on Asimo means that his body can move freely like human joints for optimum movement and flexibility. Interested to know more how good ASIMO is, here comes a video of Asimo in action after the jump! [...]
