Japanese would have been pretty frustrated with the noisy city environment, especially when talking on cellphone. Imagine, while you’re stuffed in a commuter train, an urgent phone call comes in, you’d have problem to hear what the callers are trying to say over the phone. NTT Docomo, the Japanese cellphone provider, has taken a step ahead, has produced a pretty unique cellphone both in terms of its shape and also its sound transmission technology.
As shown in the picture, the Sound Leaf Plus Bluetooth cell phone, you can obviously see that the cellphone looks either like robot finger or an electric shaver. It’s all up to you what you’d like to describe it as. In transmitting sound, it uses bone conduction technology to ensure the best transmission of sound to user, regardless the noisiness of the city environment. The phone runs on two AAA batteries and will be available in February next year in Japan for a price of $116 or 13,000 yen.
