Cell phone explosion killed a man!
I guess most of you after reading this piece of news, would be anxiously pulling your cellphone out of your pocket and scratching your head for a better way of storing and carrying it. This sad piece of news is about a man found dead, which could be caused by the explosion of the battery of his cellphone, which was in his pocket. The man was a 33-year-old excavator driver, found lying dead beside his excavator in a stone quarry in Cheongwon at 8:40 a.m. by his colleagues. And a cellphone was found in his shirt pocket with its battery severely melted and his chest burned and fractured, according to the police.

The company who made the cellphone has been kept in secret, however they did have their own defense claiming that the battery was very unlikely to explode as their battery is wrapped in aluminum foil which will only melt instead of exploding when it’s hit by external shock.

I think cellphone makers shall be seriously looking into the likeliness of explosion caused by the battery. How many times that we’ve heard that the cellphone’s battery would explode? Can you tell what phone is it? Doesn’t it look like a Samsung?

Update: According to another source, it’s an LG phone!
