Will Google announce anything today? Yes, it will definitely be something by Google. But before the actual announcement, lets look at some rumors that have been floating over the last weekend until today. The rumors cite more to Google would release a software more than a hardware. Last week some said that Google would release a Linux-based operating system that would have the code name “Android” instead of “G-Phone”.
USA Today said that it would be a Linux-based OS with added Java topping. They claimed that it’s an operating system instead of a hardware with some partners are ready in the line including Sprint, Motorola, Samsung and even Japanese giant wireless giant NTT DoCoMo. Furthermore, a weird mention about “The Google Phone, powered by the new G-system, could blow open this model by providing easy access to the Internet at PC-type speeds…”. The bottom line is Google is gearing towards something with an open OS, open network and financed by ads! The actual answer can only be known later today!
