There have been quite a number of good news about memory storage capacity breakthrough brought to us by the industry and some researchers recently. Although the recent announcement by Samsung would have left you in puzzle about how on earth 16 of the 64Gb chips could hold equivalent to 80 DVDs? But, lets forget about Samsung and look at a more promising new type of memory than the flash memory. The researchers at Arizona State University have developed a low-cost, low-power computer memory that could put terabyte-sized thumb drives in consumers’ pockets within a few years.
This new technique that makes possible of clamming one terabyte onto a thumb drive is by the use of new technique that manipulates charged copper particles at the molecular scale. This new type of memory would be at high potential to replace the current predominant memory – the flash memory, in mobile devices. The researchers claim that their memory is, bit-for-bit, one-tenth the cost of — and 1,000 times 1,000 times as energy-efficient as the flash memory. In few years time, you’d have 1TB in your pocket, which is much more than enough for holding 80 DVDs!

Excellent news, but by the time this device comes out DVD’s would have become obsolete and Blue Ray discs would have replaced them. making the all mighty terabyte flash not so mighty anymore.
but its always good to see advancements in the memory sector
But for now you can buy reliable Cheap flash drives from RamValley
