QUAD pen lets you write in the air and be a step closer to complete paperless!Although today we’re equipped with all sort of digital gadgets and computers and we’re getting closer to a paperless work environment, but we’re still an inch or more behind the complete paperless office. The reason is we’ve been so used to using pen or pencil to write. And whenever we think of something, we’ll need to write it down using pen then we’ll need more paper! The problem with us is hard to get rid of the habit of having to use pen to write things down and that is the issue we’re still a step behind the complete paperless office.

What if you’re given a pen that you don’t need paper and you still can write things down? A pen that lets you write in the air? This is probably a better way to help you get into more paperless. Nam Jeong-gyun has got a great concept pen, known as QUAD, which is a pen that lets you write in the air as if writing on an invisible whiteboard. The pen is equipped with electronic sensor at its tip and it’s got internal memory. While you write in the air using this pen, it will record every movement into its internal memory. From that on, whatever you’ve recorded down into this pen’s memory can then be transfered to your computers for creating documents in your preferred format.

This great pen is one of the 32 design works displayed by the graduating students of the Product Design department of SADI, a school founded by Samsung in 1995. Being more paperless, perhaps will not be the really good reason for you to own the QUAD pen. But, it’s certainly a good one, if you wanna write things down immediately when some cool or crazy ideas just flash across your mind, without the need to search for a piece of unused or rough paper on your work desk. Anyway, it’s still a concept that is too early to talk about when it’s gonna hit the market!
