This week is definitely hot for the long-waited next generation of Microsoft’s Zune - the Zune 2 and Flash Zune . So, they have been announced officially with a price tag of $249 for the 80GB hard drive model and $149/$199 for the 4GB and 8GB flash-based models respectively. Newly added features are wireless syncing with your computer automatically when you’re in Wi-Fi range, as well as videos in the Zune Marketplace and new music, with some are DRM-free. The Zune Pad is actually touch sensitive, seems to have copied the iPod’s Click Wheel concept.

Surprisingly, the first gen 30GB Zune, which Microsoft has sold over 1.2 million, has been announced to get the new features of the second generation of Zune for the coming batches. Anyway, Microsoft offers free software upgrade for those who already own the first gen Zune.
