Definitely, the Aptera is the kind of vehicle that the outer look belongs to the space age. But this space-age looking verhicle has a pretty promising future path, which it gets to enter the production. The Aptera is now available for booking, which you just need to pay $500 as the refundable deposit. And you’ll be able to bring it home after a year.
This space-age-looking vehicle has only two seats, and its has the capability of reaching 60mph from standing start in about 10 seconds. The top speed is 95mph.
The car is also equipped with safety and couple of utilities for both the driver and the only passenger, which are airbags, rear view camera, GPS navigation, and CD/MP3/DVD player with XM.
It’s also equipped with a solar assisted climate control system, which helps keep the car’s interior cool. And you’ll have options for the engine, which is either an All Electric or Plug-in Hybrid.
The “All Electric” engined version is powered by batteries only, which you need to recharge. Every full charge lets you travel up to 120 miles only. For charging you just need to plug the Aptera into any standard 110 volt outlet and it takes you only few hours. The “Plug-in Hybrid” engined version is also powered by an electric drive train but assisted by a fuel efficient gasoline powered generator that stretches the range, which lets you have 300 miles per gallon in typical driving condition. The “All Electric” engined version retails for $26,900, whereas the “Plug-in Hybrid” engined version is slightly more expensive that asks for a price of $29,900.
