The trend in today’s technology is we’re slowly saying goodbye to wired stuff and moving into the wireless territory. Streaming audio via WiFi or Bluetooth is gradually becoming a norm, that’s why we’ll be seeing some speakers manufacturers are playing the catch-ups now.
Here comes the newly announced speaker products from Infinity and JBL, which are the subwoofers that can be placed anywhere without needing any speaker wires to connect to your Hi Fi or home theater system.
The subwoofers make use of 2.4GHz transmitter/receiver pair, which is able to grab audio signal over the air. But, unfortunately, the wireless speaker system produced by the two renown players seem to have some problem of signal interference while there are some other gadgets around.
The two newly announced subwoofers from the two are the PS212W model and the Cinema Sound CSS10W from Infinity and JBL respectively. The Infinity’s PS212W is capable of 400-watt and will cost around $679 USD, whereas the JBL’s Cinema Sound CSS10W has a smaller 10-inch driver, boasts 300-watts of power and costs around $559 USD. The decision is yours, if you simply hate those tangling wires, then the choice is to go for the new wireless system provided you could tolerate with the little impurity
