Estes Digital Video Rocket lets you shoot video in the sky
Isn’t it pretty exciting to fly a rocket toy? What if a rocket comes with a video camera that lets you take video along the journey? It’s really so much fun that you can imagine having the Digital Video Rocket, a rocket that has a built-in video camera that lets you capture video of 640×480 resolution for a maximum of 12 seconds. If video is not your cup of tea, you can also have the camera to take pictures for you along the journey.

The rocket can take three images per flight and its internal memory can let you store up to 15 shots. Once it gets full what you need to do is to empty its memory by transferring to your PC via USB port, before it’s taking off for the next journey.

The rocket comes with a launch pad and a controller. I wonder how easy to control this rocket to avoid those obstacles along the journey. Can you make it slip through windows and holes? Sorry, my mind is getting a bit nasty here. The rocket takes power Estes C6-5 engines, which you need to purchase separately and the camera is powered by L1154 button cell batteries. The rocket is 16-inches tall and 3-inches in diameter and can fly as high as 500 feet in the air.
