Hammacher has got a power-failure lamp that is pretty useful for those who live in the poor environment that power failure is a norm. Just attach this power-failure lamp between any table or floor lamp and a socket in your room. When the power goes out, this lamp will kick in and continuously shines for you for up to 8 hours.
The light source of this lamp is made up of six LEDs. The built-in rechargeable batteries will be recharged once the power is back. Doesn’t it sound handy to you? But it seems like there is no much difference between an emergency lamp that I currently own.
The only difference that this lamp from Hammacher uses LEDs as the light source, which should be less juice-hungry compared to others or at least could last longer if long power cut is a major problem in the area that you stay.
