iBible PMP – easiest way to learn God’s words

iBible PMP - easiest way to learn God's words
I’ve been thinking of loading a soft copy of the Bible onto my Dopod C800 PDA phone, so I could just read the bible on my PDA while attending masses or anytime I feel like. Phone and PDA are our most ubiquitous companions. It’s so handy that we could have a soft copy of the Bible loaded onto it, then we could read anytime to learn more about God’s teaching.

Forget about loading a soft copy of the Bible on my Dopod C800, as I haven’t got a clue where I could find one. But it seems like there is a ready-made electronic Bible out there, which is the iBible.

The iBible is a PMP (Portable Media Player) that offers both King James and World English versions of the Bible. It works similar to other PDAs that you can shift through text by using the 3.2″ touch-screen TFT or via the aluminum control keys.

An electronic version of the Bible is simply handy, which you can search text by verse, chapter title or keywords and you can bookmark any found chapters easily. A Biblical dictionary is also included and you can also use the included software to test your understanding of the Bible. The iBible also comes with music, video player, picture browser and a couple of nice PDA functions such as contacts, calendar, task managers and calculator.

The downside is it’s short of cellphone function, else I’d probably consider it to replace my Dopod C800 PDA phone. Anyway, the iBible is available for wholesale only, which the minimum quantity that you can buy from the website is 5, which each costs $132. It’s not a bad idea that you buy this and donate it to the Church and let them distribute it.
