Google Phone is confirmed by HTC insider!
It’s been couple of months and I have almost forgotten that our beloved search engine giant, Google was planning to step into the cellphone market. A couple of months ago that was hot and being talked about for quite some time, even an LG phone released in the European market was deemed as a Google Phone.

And now CrunchGear seems to have better clue that the Google phone is getting high chance of being materialized. CrunchGear got the tip from an HTC insider. if the tip is correct then the gPhone will be available in Taiwan around Q1 2008. So, Google teams up with HTC, which they’re currently assessing couple of HTC models to decide the final design of its gPhone. So the gPhone will come with a special version of Google Map, compatible with built-in GPS, Gmail and the calendar app. And Google Talk will become a part of the phone that lets it have some VOIP capability. It sounds like rumor is also floating around about Samsung is to work with Google to release the gPhone?

  3. No more Google Phone, it’s a software that rivals Windows Mobile instead of iPhone! - by Gadget, shop online blog of TechChee.com Says:

[...] But, think deeper, even though Google is working on an OS, it still needs some kind of device to run the OS and the Google-packaged software. Would Google seek a partner to build the device or they’ll talk to phone manufacturers to offer free with their OS? Perhaps, we would get to see some Nokia phones, PDAs like HTC, Dopod and O2 to be loaded with Google OS and software packages in the near future. [...]
